The 205 North Quay project in Brisbane is a significant commercial development set to transform the city’s North Quarter. The project is led by Cbus Property and Nielson Properties, with Hutchinson Builders as the main contractor. Designed by architects Hassell, REX, and Richards & Spence, the building aims to create a unique and sustainable workplace environment.
Key features of 205 North Quay include: A 33-level tower offering world-class amenities such as a whole-floor wellness facility, a 25-meter lap pool, a public realm auditorium, outdoor terraces on every level, and rooftop collaboration and celebration spaces. The building is targeting a 6 Green Star rating and a 5.5-star NABERS Energy rating, emphasizing sustainability with features like energy-efficient designs, waste and water usage reduction, and a highly articulated façade for sun control. Construction is currently well underway, with the project anticipated to be completed by mid-2025. The development also includes extensive public spaces, such as a grand shaded garden plaza and a rooftop terrace, aiming to integrate seamlessly with the surrounding urban environment and enhance street life in the area.
